About the Show

PPETN has the unique opportunity to show members’ works at the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee.

All submissions will be juried for acceptance into the show. A maximum of 50 prints will be accepted into the show and Best of Show, 1st Pace, and Photographic Distinction will be awarded.

The juror for the show will be Jack Retterer. Our gallery will be on display at the September 4th First Friday Event through September 25th.

  1. To submit images for consideration into the Expo, the photographer MUST be a current dues-paid member of PPETN. If you are not a dues-paid member and would like to be, click here to join.

  2. Log in to the membership area to have access to the submission form. You can find the log in link in the menu at the top of the page.

  3. Each photographer can submit up to 3 images for consideration.

  4. Images must be the original work of the submitting photographer.

  5. Works cannot have been on display in past PPETN EXPOs, the Emporium, or the Knoxville area.

  6. The arts are to exhibit exclusively at the Emporium during this particular month and not at other local galleries.

  7. All images must be suitable for a family event.

  8. Submit your entry electronically NO LATER THAN MONDAY, JULY 20TH. No late submissions will be accepted. There is no fee to submit images for consideration.

  9. Participants will be notified of acceptance by Friday, July 31st. If your image is accepted, you will be required to sign an agreement form and make payment of $15 per accepted image. A link will be provided in your acceptance notification email and payment.

  10. Artists will personally deliver their accepted, prepared images to the Emporium on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 11:00-2:00. If you are unable to deliver your image(s) at that time, please make arrangements to have someone deliver your images as that will be our only available time for delivery.

If your image(s) are selected for the show, you must follow these guidelines:

  1. Each artist is responsible for wiring each accepted image for hanging. The title, the artist’s name, and the value must be posted on the back of each image.

  2. Photos can be printed on any medium (canvas, metal, glass, wood, photo paper, etc). Canvas prints must have a finished edge.

  3. Prints on paper must be framed. Matting is optional.

  4. Images must be ready to hand with a wired hanging set up (no saw tooth hangers).

Important PPETN Expo Dates

  • Monday, July 20th: Deadline to submit entries into the Expo

  • Friday, July 31st: Notification of Acceptance

  • Monday, August 31st: Delivery of Art to the Emporium*

  • Friday, September 4th: First Friday Event

  • September 4th - 25th: Pick up Art from the Emporium*

*If you are not available for delivery or pick up, please be certain to make arrangements for someone to deliver/pick up your images.
